I deliberately wanted the wave to dominate the scene.

He cannot control the sea. But he is still struggling to survive.

When Life Becomes Overwhelming

The ocean in this painting is a metaphor for the challenges we encounter throughout our lives.

The responsibility of caring for the people we love.

Sometimes these challenges arrive gradually. At other times, they appear suddenly, like a giant wave.

I chose the title Never Give Up because I wanted the painting to express determination in its most immediate form.

The man is not standing safely on the shore, looking back at a storm he has already survived.

He is still inside the struggle.

He does not know exactly what will happen next.

His immediate goal is to keep himself above the water and find a way to safety.

This is what makes his determination meaningful.

Sometimes perseverance means taking the next small action when the future is uncertain.

Sometimes it means changing our approach, asking for help or recognizing that we need a safer path.

Never giving up on ourselves does not mean ignoring danger. It means continuing to value our lives and searching for possibilities, even in difficult circumstances.

The Power of the Wave

The enormous wave is the dominant visual force in Never Give Up.

Its brilliant white crest curves above the man, while deep blue, turquoise and green water surges beneath it.

The wave seems almost alive.

A brilliant area of light appears near the top of the composition.

These colors create a powerful contrast with the white spray and darker water below.

The red sky suggests urgency, while the light offers another possible interpretation: hope.

I wanted the sky to remain open to the viewer’s imagination.

Some may see a warning.

Others may see the possibility of a brighter future beyond the immediate struggle.

Courage Is More Than Physical Strength

The man in Never Give Up appears physically strong, but the painting’s message extends beyond physical endurance.

Courage can also be emotional.

It may be the courage to begin again after failure.

Tôi chọn tên Không Bao Giờ Bỏ Cuộc bởi vì bức tranh ghi lại một khoảnh khắc khi kết quả vẫn chưa được quyết định.

Người đàn ông chưa đến được bờ.

Con sóng vẫn đang đổ xuống.

Anh không biết điều gì sẽ xảy ra tiếp theo.

Nhưng anh vẫn đang cố gắng.

Đối với tôi, không bao giờ bỏ cuộc không có nghĩa là phải tiếp tục chiến đấu một cách mù quáng, bất chấp nguy hiểm.

Đôi khi, đó là biết thay đổi phương pháp, tìm kiếm sự giúp đỡ hoặc lựa chọn một con đường an toàn hơn.

Điều quan trọng là không đánh mất hy vọng và không ngừng tìm kiếm khả năng vượt qua hoàn cảnh.

Giữa khung cảnh dữ dội, ánh sáng ấy tạo ra một điểm tương phản đặc biệt.

Với tôi, nó tượng trưng cho hy vọng.

Khi đang đối diện với khó khăn, chúng ta thường chỉ nhìn thấy vấn đề ngay trước mắt.

Nhưng đôi khi, một cơ hội mới hoặc một hướng đi khác vẫn đang chờ đợi ở phía trước.

Can Đảm Không Chỉ Là Sức Mạnh

Người đàn ông trong tranh có một cơ thể khỏe mạnh, nhưng điều tôi muốn thể hiện không chỉ là sức mạnh thể chất.

Can đảm còn là khả năng đối diện với nỗi sợ.

Là dám bắt đầu lại sau thất bại.

Là biết tìm đến người khác khi cần sự giúp đỡ.

Đôi khi, quyết định khôn ngoan nhất không phải là cố gắng mạnh hơn, mà là tìm một cách khác để vượt qua thử thách.

Texture Và Cảm Xúc

Bức tranh sử dụng những lớp màu giàu texture và các nét mạnh mẽ để tạo cảm giác chuyển động.

Những mảng trắng, xanh dương và xanh lục hòa vào nhau, khiến con sóng như đang bùng nổ.

Bầu trời đỏ rực làm tăng cảm giác căng thẳng.
